Jeff and the gang got a new dog this past weekend. Tonight we went over to meet him and fell in love. He’s the sweetest ever. Pics!
On Friday we went for a run and picked wild flowers on the walk home. Java joined in the fun. Then Daddy cooked us up some potato and egg skillet lunch while Mommy baked a homemade sweet potato pie. Both were delicious!
On Saturday, we got up and started our pumpkin carving. Thalia quickly drew her “silly face” on her baby pumpkin. While she had a messy little tea party, Daddy carved a Gator! And Mommy went for a skull since her pumpkin was skull-shaped. It all turned out perfectly. This afternoon, we’re all heading to Thalia’s best school bud Maria’s birthday party!
The fam (minus Unca AL) got together Wednesday night to have some yummy cheesy dip dinner, eat some Graveyard Pudding, drink some Mummy Juice, visit a nearby pumpkin patch, and watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. We.. had.. a.. blast. Documented. Fun Stamp.
Trip to Grammy and Grandad’s for the Cedar Key Seafood Festival and Kanapaha Orchid Show and Plant Sale.
The first garden is doing wonderful. Beans are coming in. We’ve harvested a handful of Jalapeno peppers already. Collards and lettuce are about ready. Carrots and onions are coming in nicely. So we decided to put in a second garden. We’ve got more collards going in it. Also, Kale, more lettuce, bush beans, cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. It’s going to be a salad fiesta! Pretty pictures:
We had a fabulous birthday party for Thalia and Madilynn at Downey Park. Thalia was too interested in the party to partake in the water park fun, so I didn’t get pictures of that. But the kids loved the piñata. It was tons of fun. Thank you everyone for coming out and celebrating with us! And thank you Jeff and Renee for doing most of the work while we were laid up with the stomach bug. Next up… Fourth of July!!
I spent my whole morning getting hundreds of pictures off of my cameras. There are videos, too… but I’m STILL trying to get them off my camera. The battery died halfway through, and I have to wait until it charges to get the rest off. It’s been an eventful summer. I chose the best of the best pictures to post. Mostly the pictures are of Thalia (of course) at our two trips to the river. Unfortunately, Thalia is very sick with a stomach bug this week. I had to cancel her swim lessons. Hopefully, she will be totally recovered by her and Madi’s birthday party on Saturday. On that note, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MADILYNN!!
