18 Degrees Out Thar!
Not much has really changed lately. Well… there is snow on the ground today… and it’s 18 degrees out there in the “heat” of the day. Thalia and I are taking new swimming lessons for a few weeks. It’s amazing how quickly she learns stuff now. It’s wonderful. I can finally ask her questions… like what does she want for lunch and what does she want to do. We teach her new words (to recognize, not say… she still can’t speak much) and she learns them almost instantly. It’s awesome. But with all this new independence and intelligence, Thalia is starting to learn how to say “no” and how to throw herself into the floor in a fit of rage when things don’t go her way.
We had another Rock Band party the other night, and Thalia was much less scared around strangers this time… or maybe she recognized them and knew they weren’t strangers. Either way, she loves other kids. She and Robert had a blast playing together. They took her whole playroom apart. It was a mess. But then again, she does that by herself, too.
She really likes her music class now. She was very cautious at first… wasn’t sure what to make of it. But now she thinks that it is fun. She likes to dance now… she has learned how to twirl and it is adorable. I’m still trying to get that on video.
Here she is “wearing” her Daddy’s shoes in her Gator outfit:
